On a daily basis all around NSW PCYC sees young people experiencing anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges. That’s why we’re starting a new preventative Mental Wellness program to help young people build resilience skills. And we need your help. Join the Star Jump Challenge today.
PCYCs are located in 65 rural, regional and metropolitan locations across New South Wales.
100,000 young people
PCYC’s life changing programs and activities connect young people with education, family, culture, employment and community.
PCYC was established in 1937 by NSW Police and Rotary and has been actively serving communities around New South Wales for 84 years.
Life changing for youth
We are Australia’s leading youth organisation working with Police and community to give tomorrow’s stars a brighter future. We reduce and prevent crime by and against young people to help create healthier, happier communities.
PCYC’s life changing programs connect young people with education, family, culture, employment and community. Young people build character and leadership skills through activity, nutrition and active mentoring.
Our 65 clubs across NSW are a hub for youth and provide a space for fitness and healthy connection. They are also open to community members and provide a valuable service, especially in remote or isolated areas.
The PCYC partnership with Police centres on the Commissioner’s Rise Up Strategy. These targeted programs reconnect disengaged young people to family, education, culture, employment and community. This early intervention approach prevents young people being the victims or perpetrators of crime.
“PCYC is a safe haven for these kids. They know when they come to the PCYC, there’s going to be someone there that will listen to them, that will care.”
- Gregory Churchill - PCYC Trainer
